DME Engine
dmeengine.org

Every order, from the phone call to the signature to the invoice.

DME Engine is delivery software built by people who run DME deliveries. Multi-client patient management, per-agency rate sheets, smart truck routing, an offline mobile app for drivers, barcode inventory, and billing — in one platform, at a price a growing supplier can actually carry.

However your contracts are shaped

Built for the accounts a DME supplier actually carries.

Most systems assume you have one customer. You don't — you have a stack of contracts, each with its own pricing, approvers, and expectations. DME Engine is multi-client from the ground up.

Hospice

Hospice DME delivery

STAT delivery workflows, after-hours documentation, per-hospice rate sheets, end-of-life equipment swaps, and approval thresholds that match the contract.

Home health

Home health agencies

Recurring patient deliveries, an online ordering portal for each agency, certification tracking, and invoicing broken out per agency.

Supply

Medical supply routes

High-volume supply ordering, truck manifest building, pick-and-fulfill, per-payor supply pricing, and lost-item recovery.

The order lifecycle

One system carries the order the whole way.

Six steps, no re-keying between them. The order that comes in at intake is the same record that gets picked, routed, signed for, and billed.

  1. 01Intake

The order arrives by phone or straight from the agency's own ordering portal. The patient is registered once — address verified, living facility recorded (home, nursing, assisted living).

  2. 02Approval

Anything over that agency's dollar threshold routes automatically to their named approver before it leaves the dock. No surprise write-offs at month end.

  3. 03Pick

Scan items off the shelf, assign lot numbers, and build the truck manifest. Inventory moves as you pick, so the count on screen is the count in the warehouse.

  4. 04Route

Stops distribute across trucks and sites automatically. Workload balances between drivers, and each driver gets a sequenced, turn-by-turn route.

  5. 05Deliver

The driver captures the signature and delivery photos on their phone. Dead zones don't stop the run — the app works offline and syncs the moment signal returns.

  6. 06Bill

Charges land on that agency's invoice at that agency's negotiated rate. Run billing and reporting per agency or aggregated across all of them.

Why operators switch

Three things people tell us made the difference.

It was built by DME providers, not by a software company guessing.

We run deliveries ourselves. Every screen in DME Engine exists because somebody standing on a dock or sitting at an intake desk needed it. That shows up in the small things — the reschedule flow, the lost-item search, the partial-sealed PO.

Per-agency pricing that holds without anyone remembering it.

Negotiated rates live on the contract, not in someone's head. Clone a rate sheet from one agency to the next, bulk-import from the spreadsheet your contract already lives in, and every order bills at the right rate automatically.

Drivers keep working when the signal drops.

The mobile app stores the run locally, so signatures, photos, and pickups are captured in a basement or a rural dead zone and sync automatically once the truck is back in coverage. Your proof of delivery doesn't depend on bars.

Your data sits in its own database.

Each company gets a dedicated SQL database rather than a shared table with a customer column — alongside role-based permissions, PIN driver authentication, audit logging, and encrypted transmission. Business Associate Agreements are available.
